Women's Retreats

Swap distractions for stillness, reconnect and nourish your feminine soul.

One-to-one coaching, writing and healing retreats in beautiful Scotland

"What would happen if one woman told the truth about her life? The world would split open."  Muriel Rukeyser (poet)

A peaceful space to completely escape, relax and reconnect.

I run all personal retreats from my home by the sea in the heart of historic South Queensferry, Scotland. This is a place that can really work some inner magic and make your soul sing. We work deeply on a one-to-one basis exploring where you feel stuck and making a shift to more positive and conscious choices.

You will have your own beautiful double room and orthopedic bed with a private shower and toilet, delicious vegetarian food, opportunity to sit in the community walled garden, go for long walks by the sea or curl up in the reading room with a good book and the affection of my two rescue cats, Archie and Macy.

Yoga classes and massage therapies are also available from local therapists.

If you are a writer, this is a beautiful space for inspiration. A relaxed mind is a creative mind. You can stay for longer retreats if you have a piece of work you want to concentrate on. Get in touch and we can chat about what you need.

If you are here between April and October, you can opt to take a boat trip to stunning Inchcolm Island affectionately known as 'Iona of the East.' There is easy access to Edinburgh by train (20 mins) or by bus (45 mins) if you want to wander into the city and take a look at the many historic sites and galleries. Edinburgh airport is only 15 mins away by car.

"Juliette knew exactly where to focus to help me identify and break through deeply rooted patterns of thoughts and behaviour that were limiting my ability to grow not only professionally but also as an artist. As a result, I was able to build a firm foundation of confidence and self-awareness and the daily practices that she helped me to put in place will continue to nourish me personally and creatively for years to come. Without a doubt, the life that is in front of me now would not exist had I not had the opportunity to work with her. I can’t recommend Juliette enough!" Kerri Brown, Engineering Manager, ITV

Why come on a personal retreat

You may be at a cross-roads with important decisions to make or find yourself worn out trying to juggle the demands of life and in need of a private space to reflect and recharge. Your own personal one-to-one retreat allows you to step out of all the demands on your time and energy, slow down and listen to the true needs of your body, mind and soul. Our work together will bring emotional breakthrough and psychological insight.

"I count myself incredibly lucky to have had the opportunity to work with Juliette. Experienced incredible growth during our time together. Juliette coached me to a place of empathy so the growth and healing I experienced came from a positive place. She also taught me the tools I would need to continue growing and self-improve. I cannot thank Juliette enough." Jude Kington-Duong, Scrum Master, Rolls Royce

How I work

Spiritual empowerment for women is a deeply felt calling. My rocky path from the male dominated world of chemical engineering and working-class tenements of Glasgow to coach, speaker and poet has been complex yet uniquely soul-making. As a father's daughter, I understand only too well how patriarchy cripples both men and women, and how these out-dated power complexes can be healed to create a more balanced way of being.

Redeeming the divine feminine has been a life-long journey. Much of my poetry gives voice to grounding and releasing the feminine and you can read some of my poems here

With over 20 years of professional coaching experience and personal inner work, my intuitive and empathic approach is a unique blend of depth psychology, science and spirituality. There is an emphasis on symbolism, shadow work, dreams, energy psychology, journaling and meditation throughout my work.

I have strong insight and get straight to the heart of an issue. Expect me to dig deep and hold you accountable to becoming the very best in yourself in a way that is both compassionate and challenging.

You can read more about me and how I work on my About page.
